On 16–17 September 2026, Bratislava hosted the Airport Innovation Roundtable (AIR 2026), bringing together airport leaders, aviation experts and industry partners from across Central and Eastern Europe.
The two-day event focused on some of the key challenges and opportunities shaping the future of aviation, including airport resilience, digital transformation, operational efficiency, infrastructure development, cybersecurity, passenger experience and regional connectivity.
The programme provided an excellent opportunity to exchange experiences, share best practices and discuss common challenges facing airports across the region. As part of the event, participants also had the opportunity to visit Bratislava Airport (M. R. Štefánik Airport) and gain first-hand insight into its operations and infrastructure.For our airport, AIR 2026 was a valuable opportunity to strengthen existing relationships, establish new connections and exchange ideas with aviation professionals from across the CEE region.
