Portorož Airport is committed to lowering CO2 emissions and optimizing the utilization of solar energy, recognizing it as our primary natural resource. This commitment aligns with our key objective of transforming into an eco-friendly airport.
The solar power plant has been operational since December 18, 2023, and is installed on the roof of the main airport building and hangars, where a total of 670 solar modules are installed. The rated connection power of the power plant is 220 kW, with an installed rated power of photovoltaic modules of 274 kWp.
